BattleTech Posters
As some of you know I have a nice little collection of BattleTech posters, and I would like to share this collection.
Years ago I took the "Technical Blueprints" to Kinkos to try and get a scanned copy of them, and they refused to do it since at the bottom it says "Copyright (c)1986 Fasa Corporation".
All together I have about 20 posters I would like to get scanned into a high-def image/pdf (300-600 DPI), would anyone have recommendations on ware I could go to get them scanned at?

Re: BattleTech Posters
Cool, I did not know they made a poster of that. Looks to be in great condition too.
I actually sat down and counted everything I wanted scanned (Posters and some Map-Sheets from some of the boxed sets) and I have a total of 40 scans to make. I got a quote from Staples, who would had to of outsourced the work (since they donot have the big scanners in-house) and the total would have been over $800. Did not even recive a discount for bulk quantity, LOL.
So i am still looking for a place to get them scanned at,

Re: BattleTech Posters
I suppose I could take pictures of them, if you guys wanted a quick picture of them.
I was going to try and aim for more print-quality while down-sampling it to 300DPI (the more standard large-size print quality at most print shops) so that others could add them to their collection, or admire a nice high-res copy of the artwork. Of course I do plan on tagging them with something like "Digital copy... Not an original print..." so some a-hole would not try to pawn it off as an original print to someone else.
Also the reason for such a high scan at 600DPI is to allow me to digitally restore some of the posters' artwork that has been damaged over the years, such as the worn crease-lines and tears.
Plus I do not remember most of the older FASA posters being for sale or readily available to the fans as you do see with the newer posters by WizKids and CGL. They were primarily used to be displayed in the game-shops for advertisements. In fact a couple years ago I was trying to get a hold of one of the card-board cutout displays of the Mauler for the MW2:Mercs game display you seen in stores when the game came out. Unfortunately I was out bidded on it, I cannot remember if it was around $80 or $180 I had on it, it certainly was not going cheap I remember that much. Hmm, makes me wonder, was that you I was bidding against Riddick? LOL
On another note, I was cleaning up my shelves and ran across two more posters I have, I do not remember buying them either LOL. One of which is the same poster Archon has, this getting older stuff has got to stop!!!
The other poster is the artwork to the "MechWarrior: Companion" rulebook.

I know it is for the Playstation version, but it is still an MW2 poster

Re: BattleTech Posters
I did. I did not even think I would get it for $10USD let alone $0.99USD.
$10 was my max bid since I figured I would be bidding against several people in the Mech2 community.
