Hey there,
I have the Battlepack edition. It was a giant strategy guide, Mechwarrior 2 and Netmech on one disc, and Ghost Bear's Legacy sold together. When I install it the setup crashes and I get an error for installshield engine EXE.
I know there are patches and stuff but I don't think I can use those if I can't install.

Please use mechvm to install the game.

I don't understand how your response helps me there is no instructions on how to use this program at all.

To install BattlePack using MechVM, refer to MechVM's FAQ here. MechVM will install BattlePack just like the original installer did. It installs some patches that should get BattlePack running, but I currently can't get it to work myself. Perhaps the hook can help.
