cant connect to chat server, is it down?

cant connect to chat server, is it down?
trying to connect via mibbit to the irc server. so far get connect failed. Is it just me?

nope, it is not just you; I wondered the same thing when it happend this morning.
You are not alone. It has been out since at least 6 AM.
Anyway I am using the old chat until it comes back.
If it is not up in 2 days I will look into setting up our own IRC server.
