Cannot start MW2

Hoi!
I encouter the following problem. I have successfully downloaded and installed MW2. But each time I insert the CD, I get this message:
create process ==0; error code:2
What is that about? How can I get the game to work?

Thank you for your reply. I have downloaded MechVM and installed it. I hope, I did that correctly. Then I have followed the instructions ( it is slightly difficult for me, I am no native speaker of English). MechVm definitely did do something to my Mech2. It now wants to start in the Dosbox, but then returns to the desktop. Maybe the installation source I have is faulty, since I downloaded it and do not have any original CD.
