Recently we got the opertunity to do whats called Color Guard with our Civil Air Patrol unit, thats where you march slowly in formation, turn to the crowd, lower the state flag during the national anthem, lift flag back, then march away to where you came.

This year we got to do it at the Maury Co. Special Olympics. This picture is from practice two days ago, because I couldn't find any real good ones from the actual event (because of the crowd).

It was a great honor. We had six other cadets who couldn't make the 4 slots. I'm glad I was in it, especialy being able to bear the TN state flag. (our commander said I was too tall and thin to look right with a rifle. :P ) and Slavick got to be a rifleman (left) in the color guard, so it was all good.
