MechWarrior 2: Resource Forum

I am asked this question relatively frequently, so I figure I should post the answer.

1. Locate where MechWarrior 2 is installed.
2. Locate the .mek files you wish to import.
3. Place the .mek files in the MEK folder located in the Mech2 directory.
If the MEK directory does not exist in the Mech2 folder, create the folder.
4. Verify that you did not put a folder inside of the MEK directory as it does not read subfolders.

Please note that for the version that we have using dosbox; usually it is installed in C:\Program Files\NetmechDos\netmech.
The MEK folder by default does not exist in the current build, therefore you must create it.

ok that helps me because i dont know how to get to those mechs that you sent me but how do i create a file?
