DosBox Question (sorry if this doesn't belong here!)

Hello. I was wondering how to get DosBox to properly record video. When I tested the feature out, I only get audio with no video. Someone said something about codecs, but I don't know what to do/get or anything. Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section.

(Don't worry about the section as we really do not have one)
Pretty much if you installed dosbox from their website the codec is located in the start menu under the DOSBOX section.
By the way come today (4th) at 6 PM PST you should be able to test it out. I am hoping that we can get a few people recording so I could merge two recordings of the same game I think it would be awesome for posting on youtube.

After a few hours of mech combat and PPC salvos is DosBox affected by internet signal? by that I mean will bad connection affect the destruction gameply of MW2?
why ask? well my combat started going weird .......big skippy gameplay.
also to save usless post how do i start netmach with DosBox? do i type netmech in the command?

no i do not believe net play has anything to do with singleplayer performance.
As for multi all you have to do is start netmech.bat or netmech.exe.
You do need to come on irc though to set up a game or it will be extremely unlikely that you will catch anyone for a game.

I can't tell if i just have bad luck or i'm not very good with computer, but i typed in the commands in dosbox (i'm a bit anxious to battle someone) it says it's special thanks but nothing happens

For the DosBox sorry for all my problems, I tried clicking it already and did it again, with no sucsess.
I also want to know what affects DosBox and causes frame skips?

I to gain (maybe) understanding of the MW2 installation installed MW2 attempting with MMPD's DOS Vid. and got way farther and the process on the video is great!
I do have one question that got me, when your supposed to copy and paste your mech 2 file with the file made from the clone setup ( it is at 7:50 on the video)
I aslo changed the ipx?

Sorry not sure if i understand what you are asking.
The folder that should be at C:\Mech2\ is the initial installation after mech2 has been installed. What I am asking you to do at 7:50 is to copy C:\Mech2\ to C:\DOSBOX\ keeping the folder intact.
In another words you should have when you are done C:\DOSBOX\Mech2\
As for the IPX line, yes you want it on true.
