I will try to be clear this time, sorry for the confusement
I pasted the Mecch files with the actual DOSBox Files with disapointing results....errror need disk and it won't work even if the disk is in the drive, I have been attacking this for a few already.
for the .cue files what will they be used for? so far they have beed doing nothing
Wrong category, but after downloading the 1.1 patch with mechman, resolution fix stuff,(the patch allows you to play mech2 DOS) is their a way to get the music to play?, it seems for me on my computer to work better, with less problems.
I just really like the music on mech 2.

Again the cue/img files are for the virtual cd.
Please read the DOSBOX
install guide for mech2.

7. At the bottom where it says autoexec put the following lines:
(Please note all parts of this that have paths need to be changed to where your files are.)
mount C C:\DOSBOX\
C:
imgmount D "K:\Virtual CD's\MW2.cue" -t iso
8. Install MechWarrior 2 through dosbox.
that is what got me, I guess this beats standing around for three hours fixing my cheap HP printer.
The mount areas on dosbox primarily the "fill in the areas to your specification" were my only prob. I tried using the new img and cue files from clone with nothing ,I could have gotten something mixed I guess the Radick was right, nothing really beats that old computer, it is a downer that I sold my old Compaq that could play MW2 great
[autoexec]
mount C C:\DOSBOX\
C:
imgmount D C:cDOSBOXimg -t iso
This is what I currently have in my DosBox setup

seems bad? I've been at it for an unimaginable time
so far illegal action

Two things:
1. The path "C:cDOSBOXimg" seems to be malformed.
2. You need to imgmount the cue file, not the img file. As a side note, don't rename the img file after the cue/img pair has been made, because the cue file references the img file specifically.

Exactly, what npsbre said is right on the money.
Your image mount path is completely wrong. Compare the example and what you have carefully.
Keep in mind that the quotes are supposed to be in the line.
If you continue having trouble you are welcome to page me tomorrow(15th) on IRC. I should be active sometime around 5 PM PST studying and what not...

[autoexec]
mount C C:\DOSBOX\
C:
imgmount D "C:\Mech2.cue.cue" -t iso
so far it seems in the ball park, files are in my local drive but "MSCDEX: Path not valid" shows not sure why it won't work, all the files I believe are in the correct locations. they are in my local drive so i did a little change, so far my "trial by error" method clearly isn't going well.

If you come on IRC right now I can fix it if you like.
