I operate under XPSP2. Could this be the problem?

I will get the newest version of MechVM and see if it will work for my XPSP2 laptop.

BTW, does MechVM rely on any specific hardware to run? That would be my only guess to it not working on specific computers in my household.

It uses OpenGL version 1.x. AFAIK, all graphics cards provide hardware support for that.

All Windows versions since NT have at least software OpenGL 1.x support, and if your graphics card has OpenGL 2.x, there should still be compatibility drivers with hardware acceleration. Why do you think OpenGL 1.x would be the cause of the problem?

Yes, I think this is OpenGL related. I strongly believe my laptop my have originaly been a Win'98 or Win'2K (, because thre is this sticker that has the old Windows logo on it,) that was upgraded to XPSP2. That may be why my sister's newer XP and my mom's Vista are both able to run MVM, and mine won't.
