Save My 13yr Old Disk!
I need help. Badly. My original MW2 disk I have had since '95 is coming apart! It is riddled with scratches! Is there any program I can use that will let me burn the game onto my harddrive and play without the disk before it is lost forever?

You need a free imaging tool. Leave the disk alone until you know what you're doing. Do not, under any circumstances, write to the disk.

Wait! There WAS something to burn games! I recall seeing it, it was made by the same people who made CloneCD...

Col.Kell go to your local video store, many of them have their own professional cd buffers. That is usually what I do... They charge maybe a $1-2 for the service usually, but the results are better than what one would get from a cheaper solution.
Clone CD is an option though as you said, but if the disc is too scratched up that will not be able to get that far.

What local video store? I'm in an isolated Tennessee valley remember?! You can go up to anyone of the people around here and ask them what a "megabyte" is and they'll think it's a good day of fishing.
I can still navigate through the CD so there may be a slim hope I can burn it or something.

Oh, you mean a CD when saying disk ... all the time I thought you were referring to a floppy disk ... now I feel old
h2cdimage was created to create images of broken CDs ... it reads the CD as often as you want, and fills in sectors that could be read before. In my experience, the DVD drive can make a huge difference when reading old CDs. My old Liteon CD-ROMs have problems reading some CDs that my new Sony drive reads without problem. Not sure if there is an English readme to h2cdimage, so keep yelling if you need help.
I only use CD images for MW2. They are so much more practical and minimize damage to the CD.

Well, as of tomorrow I can start searching either around my house for those ATi disks or on eBay, because my Pentium Edition of 31:cc just broke.
And to you, Archon, I also regret to say that I have just discovered the basic workings of mech BWD files. Which.. means that I was making progress on the Turkina mech. So far it was a Warhawk with a Jenner head and launchers, with Warhammer arms to be added too. Sorry..

I just thought I'd be of help if others are having the same problem, I found this software made by SlySoft, the creators of CloneCD.
This program is called GameJackal Pro. It allows you to play games without CD's, and it can use an image file if the game requires data from the disk, plus it has a whole slew of other fetures such as game profiles.
you can get it here.
