I'm going to take your advice and buy the Windows 98/2000 version of Mercs, but this is my last shot at it. Maybe I should've checked the specs on my order through Amazon before actually ordering it (it never said what version of Mercs it was, it just said it was 3-D accelerated... bastards!) Anyway ...

I'm thinking it might run better if I run Mercs through DOS.

But I forget what to type in to find the program and run it.

Let me rephrase that... it doesn't let me play any missions in general, everything else works on it (videos, sounds, etc). What the heck could be the matter?

Get this... I decided to bust out my old-school Compaq with Windows 95 just to play Mercenaries.

I was trying to install my Sidewinder Force Feedback Pro to it, but it wasn't taking it... go figure.
I tried a second joystick, a Logitech Attack 3... yeah... didn't take it.

Hi, I just bought a version of Mercenaries 3-D Accelerated (Windows 95), and I have no problem installing the program, but whenever I press "play," it goes black for a second and then returns to my normal background.
